2026-04-02 - My Morning Bathroom Setup

When I go to the bathroom, the first thing I do is grab my cup and fill it with water. I don’t use mouthwash; I just brush my teeth with toothpaste. I pull out my toothpaste and toothbrush, squeeze some on, and put my toothbrush into the cup to let it get wet. After that, I brush my teeth for about two minutes. Next, I take a sip of water, swish it around, and spit it into the sink.

2026-04-02 - Handheld Head and Bar Soap Shower

When I’m done brushing, I take a shower. I don’t have a tub, but my shower has a single-handle faucet for hot and cold water. Because our water heater doesn’t run 24/7, I don’t stand under the shower immediately. Instead, I turn it to hot, let it run for a minute, and then slowly adjust the cold water, looking for the perfect temperature.

I prefer the handheld shower head over the rain shower because I don’t like water running into my eyes. I wet my body and my hair, squeeze a little shampoo onto my hand, and lather up my hair. I wash it for about a minute and then rinse it off.

After washing my hair, I take out my soap. I avoid body wash because it feels cold in the winter and leaves a slippery feeling since it’s hard to rinse off. I wet the soap, turn off the water so it doesn’t hit my body and wash the soap away, and then I lather up with soap. I massage it all over my body with my hands. Finally, I turn the water back on to wash the bubbles away and use my towel to dry off.

2026-04-02 - Switching Shaving Routines

I used to own an electric razor, but I found it didn’t shave close enough, so now I’m back to a hand razor. It’s much easier to use and gives a very clean shave. After I’m done shaving, I rinse it and put it back in the medicine cabinet.
